IDS Corporation is a provider of English translation services for disclosure and IR,
specializing in the areas of corporate legal affairs, finance, and accounting. Our wide range of services gives
the utmost attention to protecting our clients’ confidential information.
In 2015, the Financial Services Agency of Japan and the Tokyo Stock Exchange introduced the Corporate Governance Code for publicly traded companies. In several sections, the Corporate Governance Code urges disclosure of corporate information in English, enabling foreign investors to gain a better understanding of the company. This has caused all listed companies to reevaluate disclosure policies. Looking ahead, foreign shareholders will undoubtedly continue to increase in importance as capital markets become increasingly globalized and the domestic population declines.
IDS Corporation was founded with the objective of supporting this increasing need for disclosure services.
Our aim is not to create simple English versions of Japanese text, but useful translations with an international audience in mind.

Kenzo Tanaka President and CEO
Born and raised in California, Kenzo moved to Japan after gaining localization experience at a US subsidiary of a major Japanese entertainment company. Using insights gained in disclosure and IR through working at a financial printing firm and equity research firm, he established IDS in 2014.
A native speaker of English, he is also fluent in Japanese.
